Modem Installation & Configuration: Windows 2000
Please note that from Feburary 1st 2012, Optus no longer provides telephone support for customers with Windows 2000 operating systems.
As well as the Optus DSL Broadband supplied modem there is also a set of popular modems that have been tested by Optus DSL Broadband network and proven reliable. So it is quite likely that you can use a modem you purchased yourself or one provided by a previous ISP.
If you are using a non-Optus supplied modem, Optus recommends you use the self-installation CD which was provided with your modem to install and configure your Optus Broadband connection. If you have problems installing or configuring your modem, you can read through the relevant technical support articles in the Optus DSL Broadband Helpdesk, or look for answers on the Frequently Asked Questions pages. If you are unable to resolve your issue, you can request service here.
