Optus Dial-up Internet: Easy Setup

Optus Dial-up Internet Easy Setup can help you set up your computer to connect to the Optus Dial-up Internet network and to access your primary Optus Internet email address via Outlook Express.

To complete this setup, simply follow the steps below.

If you prefer to configure your computer yourself, please read the Windows Setup pages.

Step 1 - Confirm you have a supported Operating System

Optus Dial-up Internet Easy Setup is only compatible with Windows 98/Me/2000/XP.

If you are using a Macintosh operating system, please read the Macintosh Setup pages.

Step 2 - Download Optus Dial-up Internet - Easy Setup

Click on the Optus Dial-up Internet icon below.

NOTE: Optus Dial-up Internet Easy Setup program requires the Flash plugin to run. If you do not currently have Flash installed you will be prompted to install Flash before continuing.

To start the installation immediately, select Open or Run this program from its current location.

To download the tool to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.

Step 3 - Run Optus Dial-up Internet - Easy Setup

If you have chosen to Run the program from it's current location, once it has been loaded, a box will appear similar to the one shown below.

NOTE: If you have saved the file to disk, you will need to double-click on the program icon from the location that you saved it to.

Complete each of the required fields with your Optus Dial-up Internet username and password. If you have chosen the option to set up both your connection and email, you will also need to enter a display name. This is the name that will appear on all of your outgoing emails.

Click the Setup button to finish the configuration of your computer.

This will create a new default networking connection with the Optus Dial-up Internet 0198 331 111 Access Number*, and set up a default mail account in Outlook Express.

You are now ready to start surfing with Optus Dial-up Internet!
